Text Box: Day Two, Cromarty to Ballachulish Saturday 20th April The winds were even stronger today but we started early and called in at Inverness store just after 9, they had collected around £225 for us with the promise of more to come and would like to offer our warm thanks to everyone involved especially Lynda. We did take photos as we have throughout the journey but long days and limited wi-fi mean that may be added when we get home. Unfortunately today turned in to the Graham show, I was really not coping with the strong winds and after about 30 miles we hit a really steep hill that went on for miles, a shame really because we would have missed this but for a last minute route change. At this point again took to the van only to marvel at Graham’s stamina and determination. I did cycle for another 10 miles later but again had to give up due to the wind. Graham did complete the days quota of around 100 miles and we are now settled in the hotel preparing for tomorrow. I am determined Graham will not be cycling alone so much tomorrow but with the wind still forecast and Glen Coe to get across, it may be unlikely I do the full day—hopefully Monday.
